The outcome

She ran into the living room realizing that the noise had been coming from her irritating roommate who had no respect to privacy. She thought it was time that enough was enough. As she turned the corner, she realized how heavy her head felt...maybe it was all the tequila last night. She contemplated the fact that she was still drunk, but quickly, without a second thought she pulled the trigger of the revolver. The pressure from the shot flew her delicate frame back onto the couch. She looked down at the man and realized he wasn't breathing. Thoughts raced through her head and she stood quietly staring at his lifeless body.

Throughout the night the sound of the violin was screeching through her head she couldn't tell if it was reality or in her dreams. She slowly arose from bed and knew something had to be done to stop the throbbing noise. Without thinking clearly she grabbed the revolver under her pillow. Gazing at it she knew that it was wrong but there was no other way to stop the noise; she had to kill it.

The Scarlatti Tilt

"It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin." Thats what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
